A catalogue of mantle plumes

Tomographic images of the P and S velocity perturbation, averaged vertically over the deepest 1000 km of the mantle, reveal structures with vertical continuity over that depth range. Negative (reddish) anomalies indicate the presence of lower mantle plumes.
